Velosprint Astana Motors Sprint Race was held on the eve of Tour Almaty in 2014 on the Republic Square. It was attended by the world's leading cycling teams: ASTANA PRO TEAM (Kazakhstan), TEAM KATUSHA (Russia), TEAM LA POMME MARSEILLE 13 (France), Bardiani (Italy), RUSVELO (Russia), TEAM NOVO NORDISK (USA), VINO 4- EVER (Kazakhstan) and KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL TEAM (Kazakhstan). The main guest of the sprint-race became a victor of the bicycle race "Tour de France 2014",- Vincenzo Nibali.
